This Conversation Will Help You…

  1. Say what happened
  2. Say how it impacted them
  3. Say what they did or didn’t do, and why

Think About This First

Having the Conversation

Start here:

Have people always respected your boundaries?

Is there a time that you felt like someone violated you with words?

What was the situation? How did it make you feel?

What did you do or not do? Why?

Continue:

Is there a time that you felt violated by someone else physically?

Have you talked a lot about it? Who was the person and what happened?

How did it impact your life? What was the biggest thing that happened because of it?

How did it change your relationship with the person?

Keep Talking:

What did the person do then? Did they make things right?

Did you do anything to assert your rights or boundaries?

Was it difficult to do? What made it difficult or easy?
