    #64. If You Are Bullied

    This Conversation Will Help You…

    1. Name trusted people to turn to/tell
    2. Name and describe what is happening
    3. Continually ask for help until something is done

    Think About This First

    •  This conversation can help identify what actions can be taken if someone is being bullied.

    Having the Conversation

    Start Here:

Do you know people who have been bullied or harassed?

Were they able to do anything that helped improve their situation?

What would make it difficult to get help or to talk about it?

When I was your age, if you said you were bullied, _______ happened.

    Continue:

If you were being bullied, I would want to make sure you felt comfortable telling someone about it. Do you think you’d be comfortable telling someone?

Who would be a good person you could tell?

Why do you think they’d be a good person to tell?

If someone you knew were being bullied, who would you recommend they tell?

    Keep Talking:

It seems important to be able to describe what is happening - how could you help yourself remember important details and descriptions?

Do you think it’s important to specifically use the word “bully”?

Why might using that word help people take the situation seriously?

What would you recommend someone do if they were bullied but the first person they told didn’t take it seriously? What should they do next?

Who are other people they could keep telling until they are taken seriously?
